“We try to run as a group once a week unless attending an event”
We have a small but extremely motivational running group that generally meets up most Sundays mornings to run. We have people of all abilities who cover a distance & run at a speed that suits them.
We generally meet & run in St Albans, Shenley or Park Street area. Sunday running routes are usually sent out a day or two in advance. These can be adjusted to suit your own individual needs and are not mandatory just for guidance.
The routes will be varied and very enjoyable. Some routes will be on path, country tracks, traffic free cycle paths & on road. The routes are not marshalled. So all runners must run at their own risk and be responsible for their own safety when running the suggested routes.
We thoroughly enjoy taking part in running events, aquathons, & triathlons throughout the year. These will all be plotted out in our year events and we can help you prepare if you want to take part with us.
Finally you can be added to our running community WhatsApp group where our members enjoy uploading a photo of themselves post run, their run stats, sharing trainer info & great local routes. This group is where we keep everyone up to date on Sunday running routes & through local events we are looking to take part in.
Sundays (All year round)
8-9am meet up
Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced Levels
5-10km distances (if event training may be up to 21km)
Location usually Verulanium Park, St.Albans AL1 2DX or other local locations (Shenley, London Colney, St.Albans, Borehamwood & Radlett)
Please bring along:
Please make sure you bring plenty of water or hydration drinks for during or after your run. Possibly bring a banana or something to eat at the end of your run to help you start to refuel. You will need to wear your comfortable running clothing & shoes. PLEASE carry your phone on your run encase you need to refer to the route map, local on your google maps encase get lost or contact us. Depending on your speed you may be running alone.
